It is said that this time of the year is "the most magical" time. As we enter into the Autumn season and the leaves begin to change colors and trees prepare themselves for the winter months, there is a beauty and sense of peace and tranquility that Mother Earth gives to all inhabitants the world over.
Here in the United States, there are cultural and religious celebrations that take us to the dawning of the new year. This year kicks off with Thanksgiving Day. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. This year that date will be November 25th. I won't get into any discussions about its origins. Do your own research and form your own opinions based on the facts.
The next big holiday is Hanukkah. This is a beautiful religious celebration in Judaism. This year the dates are Sunday, November 28th through Monday, December 6th.
Then comes when most people around the world celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus on Christmas Day. In 2021, December 25th also known as Christmas Day will fall on a Saturday.
The year ends and the new year begins with the African American celebration known as Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa spans from the day after Christmas until New Year's Day. This year the dates will be Sunday, December 26, 2021, through Saturday, January 1, 2022.
