Division

Updated: Dec 17, 2022

Open concept in design is a widely desired aesthetic. However, sometimes even in an open space, there needs to be some level of division. The same is occasionally true for spaces that are more defined. An easy and inexpensive solution for creating this division of space is the use of room dividers. Dividers come in a wide variety of sizes and styles and can be free-standing or permanent installs.

In the home below, our client wanted to add a bit more separation between her formal living room and formal dining room. Extending the wall was not a viable option and would be a bit of an eyesore. Instead, we opted to add these single-panel room dividers which gave the desired division, while adding another layer to the aesthetic of the space.

Even in an open-concept space, a division is sometimes needed.
